I found this photo of me on a NewsEastWest article about an event that I had performed at in the Toronto City Hall, in the presence of our Mayor, John Tory.
TORONTO: Organising the first-ever Diwali celebrations in collaboration with the Canada-India Foundation at the city hall here on Wednesday, Toronto mayor John Tory praised the contribution of the Indo-Canadians to the city and Canada.
“It is my great pleasure to host all of you here at Toronto’s city hall. This is one of the city’s first Diwali celebrations here. I want to thank you my co-host, the Canada-India Foundation,’’ the mayor said.
He said,“Diwali, the festival of lights, is a reaffirmation of hope, a shared commitment to friendship and goodwill…it is wonderful to be celebrating here with you at city hall.’’
The mayor recalled the discrimination faced by the first immigrants and how they have now become an important part of Canadian society.

I have wanted to paint something to replace the Superman over our bed, and I couldn’t think of a place more beautiful than Positano, one of our Honeymoon destinations! It is a beautiful addition to our home, and has as much meaning to us as our Toronto Skyline painting :)
This painting is 30×40″ in Oil Paints.

For as long as i’ve known my husband, he has wanted an Arjuna inspired tattoo but he was never able to pin point the design or style he wanted. As a surprise anniversary present, I designed a tattoo based on everything I knew about him, his style, and his tattoo related ramblings. Design in hand, I took him for his first official Tattoo consultation. Not only was Arjun SUPER surprised, but he loved the design right off the bat! A few weeks and a few tweaks later, and we were back at the tattoo parlour to get inked. It was the most nerve wracking experience to know that there was no going back!
I am so honoured that my husband loved my work enough to put it on his body forever :)
For my friend’s engagement present, I got her a “Wedding Survival Kit”, and really loved the way the wrapping turned out!
My aunt and I had a great time making these paper peacock feathers using scrap book paper and brown paper bags :)
Have you been wondering where all my detailed work is?

It’s that season again, full of weddings and engagements! One of my closest friends just got engaged, and I decided to make her a home made card. I really enjoyed experimenting with custom lettering as I designed this “L.O.V.E” card. I left the O blank, for her ring of course!
I took a few photos of the card with my own engagement ring before I shipped it off to her :)
