Que Sera Sera

Standard

When I was just a little girl, my mother would sing this song to me. I suddenly remembered this during midterms, heard the Doris Day version for the first time, and felt tempted to try it out myself.

High tech as always, I got my karaoke from here, and recorded it on Audacity using my inbuilt Lenovo mike :)

Lyrics

When I was just a little girl,
I asked my mother “What will I be?
Will I be pretty? Will I be Rich?”,
Here’s what she said to me

“Que Sera Sera,
Whatever will be will be,
The future’s not ours to see,
Que Sera Sera”

When I grew up and fell in love,
I asked my sweetheart “What lies ahead?
Will we have rainbows, day after day?”,
Here’s what he said to me

“Que Sera Sera,
Whatever will be will be,
The future’s not ours to see,
Que Sera Sera”

Now I have children of my own,
They asked their mother “What will I be?
Will I be handsome? Will I be rich?”,
I tell them tenderly

“Que Sera Sera,
Whatever will be will be,
The future’s not ours to see,
Que Sera Sera”
