I hope everyone has a fabulous Halloween, and that all of you do not get too hyper after eating all that candy and chocolate! The free coffee at McDonalds is probably not going to help either :P.
This past weekend, a group of us went over to a friends house for a potluck Halloween Party. A couple of my friends came over before the party to help my sister and I bake cookies and prepare a few dishes. We made this recipe with a few modifications. We replaced white sugar with brown sugar, and replaced the egg with a tsp of cornstarch and a tbsp of water. (We have a few egg allergies in the family, so whenever we buy a carton of eggs, we end up throwing half of them. We’ve been cooking egg free for over a year now!) The cookies ended up looking a little boring, so instead of adding more sugar on top, we sprinkled a few Oreo Crumbs after 5 minutes of baking. These cookies were a huge hit, and I’m going to be baking another batch or two for my office potluck this Thursday.
One of my friends dressed up like Dr. Doofenshmirtz from Phineas and Ferb. 10 minutes before we left for the party, we realized that his costume would not be complete without a Platypus. I had some old construction paper, so we decided to ‘whip up’ a 10 minute Platypus. (Though I haven’t watched the cartoon before, the Phineas and Ferb Music videos are amazing!!)
