Using watercolours, black ink, rhinestones, and a few interesting techniques I picked up from youtube, I created this “Rainy Day” painting. I think this is a huge improvement over my previous watercolour experiment :)
Using watercolours and red & silver rhinestones I purchased from Etsy, I painted an Indian Woman. I’m still very new to watercolours and haven’t been trained at all, so this isn’t exactly my best work :P
Watercolours are fun because they’re quick to set up and easy to clean, but it is a completely different way of painting than oils, so it takes a while to get used to.
For our New Years Eve party, my sister and I baked and decorated a simple vanilla cake with icing and fondant. We modified the recipe slightly by adding a pinch of salt and increasing the milk to 3/4 cup. The cake was a huge hit, and the party was awesome after a week of sickness :)
I wish all of you a very very happy 2013, filled with family, friends, and fortune :)
WordPress.com prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.
4,329 films were submitted to the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. “Sri’s Arts” had 30,000 views in 2012! If each view were a film, this blog would power 7 Film Festivals.
