I went to Michaels to pick up a paint brush, and when I walked by these $1.50 photo frames, I thought “those would make great necklaces!” Using the frame, a pair of scissors, sanding paper, acrylic paint, and a few of my old jewelry supplies, I created this double sided wooden necklace.  This project took less than an hour, and it looked great with my white top and blue jeans :)

Colourful Abstract Peacock Painting

After checking out Paintlouge in Markham and trying out Acrylic Paints seriously for the first time, I finally made it back to the Paintlounge in Toronto to learn how to build textures. The amazing 3D effect was a lot of fun to develop, and I had a great time practicing the techniques on this colourful freestyle peacock :)

As a Paint Nite instructor, I always tell my friends to find a location near them and check out Paint Nite. It’s a super relaxed environment and a lot of fun. That being said, PaintLounge is a great place to build on techniques, and the overall environment there is really inspiring.

Batman Explosion Painting

Batman Explosion

This painting was commissioned by the same friend who commissioned the Superman Painting back in 2013. This painting was definitely a challenge, but I was thrilled with the results! This oil painting is on a 24×36 inch canvas.
