I went to Michaels to pick up a paint brush, and when I walked by these $1.50 photo frames, I thought “those would make great necklaces!” Using the frame, a pair of scissors, sanding paper, acrylic paint, and a few of my old jewelry supplies, I created this double sided wooden necklace. This project took less than an hour, and it looked great with my white top and blue jeans :)
A couple of years ago, I was painting on Canvas with Acrylic Paints. As I was waiting for a layer of paint to dry, I started doodling with the Acrylics on my hand, and ended up with this white & blue henna design. I’m not sure if I would ever sport something like this in public, but it was a fun way to kill time :)
A lot of my favourite songs have a mellow hindustani feel feel to them, and this song is no different. This beautiful Keerthanam “Aaye Giridhar Dhware” , in raagam Puriya Danashri (South Indian raagam – Pantuvarali) was taught to me by my guru.
Tomorrow morning I leave on my 1.5 week vacation, and though I have 100 other things to do, I couldn’t resist taking a quick try at this amazing new USB mirophone. Though it was a quick, less than perfect rendition, you have to admit that the unedited recording quality is fantastic! Enjoy :)
Last weekend my friend came over and she brought her cake-pop machine. She also pre mixed everything we needed to make the cake pops, so we just put it all together like we were professional chefs. The results were SO awesome, and were perfectly in theme with our blue and silver Christmas party. For the stand, we wrapped up a styrofoam board in wrapping paper.
Here is our blue and silver Christmas tree! We always sort our ornaments before we put them on the tree, so we get the perfect colour balance :)
