My sister and I had an AMAZING time putting this video together! From dancing in the snow, to laughing over several iterations of bad harmony, to eating breaks, it was full of all the amazing things that make the Holidays so special! Laughter, music, food and family.
I have been learning Spanish for nearly 2 years now, so we picked this song because I thought it would be fun to sing in Spanish. I apologize in advance for any accent issues :)
Also, I would just like to say – Isn’t my sister FANTASTIC? I know sometime it’s hard to tell who’s singing what, because we keep switching between highs and lows, but it’s her voice that kicks off the song on the main tune of Feliz Navidad.
We wish You and your family a VERY Merry Christmas, a fantastic Holiday Season, and a Wonderful 2014!
As mentioned in this post about our Annual Charity Talent night, I not only performed one song along with Stephen and Nick, but I performed two! Our second song called “Maa” from the Hindi Movie Taare Zameen Par. This song was originally composed by Shankar-Ehsan-Loy and sung by Shankar Mahadevan himself (Who was introduced in this post), so though I could never even compare to that kindof amazingness, here is my own humble attempt.
The tempo did start a little slow, but I personally thing the song still turned out great. Stephen and Nick provided some amazingly soulful music, which really fit well with the song.
A couple of years ago, I recorded this song along with a Karaoke I found online and sent it to my mom for mothers day. She was so happy!
In March of 2011, back when I was on the Math Society at my University, we raised over $650 for the local women shelter. And we did it all in ONE evening thanks to the Annual Charity Talent Night. The Charity Talent night was not only for a great cause, but it was also very entertaining!
Myself, Stephen and Nick banded together for the first time after “Hallelujah” in 2010. We performed two songs, and the first one was Boulevard of Broken dreams. In all honestly, my role in this song was practically non-existent, and the full credit goes to Steve and Nick. I did enjoy singing the Harmony on the chorus though. Steve taught it to me, and it sounded great! Though Steve, Nick and myself are in three different cities doing three different things, we had a great time when we were all at University together and I hope that it’s not the last time we can all jam :)
So the video was a little bit off sync, and it looks like we’re awkwardly talking for the entire video. I promise it was us!
I will be posting the second song shortly. I know this is already a huge delay, but there was a problem with the video format and I had to do some converting and editing. Which is why the video got a little messed up and my posting got delayed. As soon as the second part is done I will post it :)
