Hello, To those of you who continue to be so faithful to my blog- Thank you! I know I haven’t posted in a while but I have not given up- far from it! I have been doing a lot of creating, and hope to update this blog with all of the fun projects (both big and small) that I have been up to. For more up-to-date information, make sure you check out my website http://www.sris-arts.com
I used black paper with Gold & Silver pen to create these fun zentagle bookmarks!
Inspired by the intricate saree borders
I used my embossing stamps, silver embossing powder, acrylic paint & little crystals I got from Etsy to make this 5×7 card. Ever since I got my Martha Stewart score board, I find that my cards look much more professional :) It’s hard to see the 3D effect of the stamps. I tried to take a picture under light so you can see the full effect. The geometric pattern reminds me of those wooden doors in India.
For the Handicare International fundraiser, I had donated this Buddha painting for their silent auction. This is actually the first oil painting I have done with no reference photograph! This simple Indian inspired painting raised $61 for the cause :)
Last weekend my friend came over and she brought her cake-pop machine. She also pre mixed everything we needed to make the cake pops, so we just put it all together like we were professional chefs. The results were SO awesome, and were perfectly in theme with our blue and silver Christmas party. For the stand, we wrapped up a styrofoam board in wrapping paper.
Here is our blue and silver Christmas tree! We always sort our ornaments before we put them on the tree, so we get the perfect colour balance :)
My perimma (aunt) recently visited from India, and she really enjoys wearing a lot of jewelry. She asked me to make her a 3 layer necklace using these jade beads that she loved. I combined the jade with fresh water pearls
Here is the final product :)
