Toronto Skyline at Night

Standard

When I got a tiny condo downtown, I knew it called for some huge dramatic artwork. This 4 feet x 3 feet Toronto Skyline in Oil Paint goes really well with our Chic Toronto theme.

In 2012 when I was just learning how to paint with oils, I had completed this painting, also of a Toronto skyline at night. It has gotten a surprising amount of traffic and is still one of the top hits on google when you search for skyline paintings. It’s amazing to see how far I have come in a few short years, and I hope (for the sake of my reputation as an artist :P) that this painting slowly takes that over!

Batman Explosion Painting

Batman Explosion

This painting was commissioned by the same friend who commissioned the Superman Painting back in 2013. This painting was definitely a challenge, but I was thrilled with the results! This oil painting is on a 24×36 inch canvas.

Last Christmas & Dil Mera Churaya Kyun

Standard

We always noticed how similar the tunes of Last Christmas & Dil Mera Churaya Kyun from the movie Akhele Hum Akhele Tum were. My sister Sneha & I decided to put the songs together in a little Bollywood Christmas Cover :)

Enjoy the lyrics video!

Nagendra Haraya Video

I recently bought myself an early Christmas Present – A Macbook Pro and some amazing recording devices including an Audio Interface and a Condenser Microphone. I thought I would start off with an ambitious project- A multilayer track inspired by the “Sacred Chants” CD in my car. It took a lot of time to put this together, mostly because I am painfully slow with technology, and I haven’t played the piano in over 10 years (Which is obvious), but I figured it out :)

Enjoy, and don’t forget to subscribe!

Two Years of Sri’s Arts!

Standard

Two years ago, when I thought about using a blog to organize my artwork, I was not met with too much enthusiasm. On the contrary, I kept the blog to myself for about a month until I could show my closest friends what I had in mind. Though I still got a lot of skepticism, I really liked the idea of organizing my art work, and documenting the thought behind why I did what I did.

The two years since then have been phenomenal! Slowly adding to my collection, my views slowly increased, and soon the same people who were skeptical were asking me when I would be posting next. It also gave me a great outlet to share my work with my family and friends around the world! The final month before the “two year anniversary”, April 2012, was the busiest month yet! We had over 2000 views in April alone, and a LOT of activity in the final days, when I posted my latest Oil Painting & Design Project. In November of 2011, I registered my domain: srisarts.com, and created my own ‘logo’, really marking my ‘domain’ on the web.

Interesting Stats:

Here are my three top posts (by views), and top search keywords over the past 2 years.

My Top Posts: Peacock & Mango, Radha & Krishna, Krishna, Radha & Gopis

My Top Search Keywords: Peacock Drawing, Wish Flower, Radha Krishna

My Top Countries: India, USA, Canada (Almost a tie!), UK, and Malaysia

And counting.. :)

I have a lot of Artsy goals that I would like to accomplish in the next couple of years. These goals include Graphic Design pursuits, singing plans, as well as developing my Fine Arts skills.  I hope I continue to keep your interest as I embark this artistic journey. I thank all of you for the support I have gotten so far, without which I wouldn’t have had the enthusiasm and drive I have today. :)
